This is clearly a companion piece to The Stand, considering the song is about how much Anthrax enjoyed the novel. Lyrically, it’s not particularly compelling, although it’s fun to yell out “I’m the Walkin’ Dude!” during the chorus. Mostly the song is noteworthy as being the lead track to one of the classics of thrash metal. Alas, I was not a metalhead in high school because I was born about eight years too early. Looking back on videos like this one, I always feel like maybe I missed out on a super fun era. I don’t know about those pants, though.
